The Poetic

I've started listening to BBC Radio 2 again, and heard a lovely broadcast from an ex poet laureate last night when I was cooking. He'd written a play that left a lot to the imagination, and likened it to poetry, as poets have great respect for their audience and allow them to fill in the gaps. I like that definition and think it could work equally well for poetic images, like Uta Barth for example...
